We had a fantastic stay in Douglas which was totally enhanced by staying in Margaret's beautiful apartment. A fabulous view over the bay and equipped with everything we needed. Margaret was extremely helpful to us on our arrival and left us a lovely welcome back for our arrival. We will definitely be back.

Everything was exactly as described by other reviewers, and provision of essential groceries and a lovely homemade cake made it even more welcoming.

A truly modern and comfortable flat in a great location with a sea view and balcony. All mod cons with all the little extras that make the holiday comfortable and special.

Margaret goes the extra mile that normally only a mum would make. A welcome pack that includes a home made cake, alongside the milk, butter, bread and eggs.

Good transport nearby for visits around the Island.

A very well appointed apartment with all appliances necessary to make it feel like a home from home.

Washer, dryer and iron were most welcome as we stayed for 2 weeks during the TT, travelled on our bike so clothes at a minimum.

Margaret was very welcoming and took time to give us information on the locality despite it being a busy time for her.

We loved it so much we are returning next year so thoroughly recommend the accommodation.

What a find, fabulous views, fully equipped, spotless apartment.

Ideally situated in Douglas for shops, bars, restaurants and local transport.

Margaret (the owner) greeted us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, including a home made cake!

This property is excellent. All you could want and need is provided. Clean and comfortable. Made to feel most welcome by Margaret who makes a mean carrot cake!

This was a remarkable accommodation: not only the good location in Douglas with two bus stations in front to explore the island, but as well the equipment of the apartment and the kindness and hospitality of the owner are to point out here! This includes the fresh flowers and the homemade cake!

Everything was well prepared to start in good and relaxing holidays!

We had a lovely stay at this apartment ,everything we needed was catered for. Margaret met us and gave us a tour of the property and left us with the best carrot cake we have ever tasted along with bread milk and eggs. The balcony was a great place to sit and relax and watch out to sea. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back again.

Excellent Apartment - Immaculate, stylish, spacious and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the view of the bay while sitting on the balcony and as we were there at the end of the TT had a brilliant view of the fireworks, The apartment is conveniently located for the trams, steam trains, buses and shops. The secure underground car park is an added bonus.. Margaret, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed the delicious cake she had made for us.

We highly recommend this accommodation for anyone wishing to visit this beautiful island.

What a friendly welcome I had. A bouquet of flowers and an extra made cake ( sorry, nothing left in the photo 😉 ). I even got a welcome package of local !!! bread, butter, milk and eggs, tea & coffee, sugar & Salt.

I especially booked this place as I am slightly handicapped and have difficulties walking stairs. The flat is in the 3rd floor right next to the elevator. Using the back door as main entrance I could easily reach the flat from the car park. One parking lot belongs to the flat.

The view.... Simply stunning! If you get up early you can enjoy Douglas bay without traffic noise. I did not hear a thing with closed windows or balcony door. Balcony !!! Now this is unfortunately still pretty rare in Douglas.

As the floor is all carpet except for the kitchen area I even had a pair of slippers waiting for me.
The flat has an extra storage room behind the living room door big enough for suitcases, coats etc.
In an additional room is the boiler, hoover, ironing board and iron as well as additional towels.

The kitchen is quite modern. Even has a washing machine and powder for one go. If I would have needed more , I could have gotten more from the very friendly and helpful owner Margaret from englewood lodge.

In case you do need to get something quick from the shop, there is a little spar within 3 min walking distance. Tescos or shopright are a bit further away and I would recommend transport when going shopping there.

Oh ... Nearly forgot .... Never leave your breakfast on the balcony unattended.... Didn't take long and a gull took advantage of me being inside to brew a new cup of coffee.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and slept well and sound. First time in a long run keeping to think of it...

This apartment was everything we hoped for and more. Our hostess, Margaret, greeted us at the airport and helped us get settled into the apartment. What a wonderful surprise to find the the pictures on the website were accurate and the apartment was immaculate and new throughout. Falling asleep to the waves from the bay and waking up to watch the sunrise and the ferry leaving for England every day was part of a dream for me. We had thought that we would purchase a place on the IOM, but as long as Margaret has a place for us, we will continue to rent!

Positioned in a very easy area for long or short walks, handy for serious or browsing shopping. Good choice of reasonable priced places to eat. Some entertainment on offer during certain months. Beach very clean. Apartment did not fail to deliver!!!

A great location, so close to the promenade and town but really quiet and relaxing.

Everything we needed plus lovely extras and a great welcome from Margaret who was watching out for us to get off the airport bus!

Thanks for the suggestion to buy a Go Travel card we certainly got our money's worth and saw most of the island using various forms of transport. Well worth bringing our National Trust cards too, lovely castles and museums to visit with them.

Stayed at apartment for 2 weeks. My first time back in Douglas in 40+ years and made so many new memories of such an amazing place.

The view from the apartment is spectacular, particularly on clear days if you can catch the sunrise.

Has everything you need whether using as a base for travelling around the island or simply having a lazy day if the weather isn't ideal. Perfectly located between Douglas and Onchan, both about a 10 minute walk.

Margaret is a perfect host, helping us with any minor issues we had, and stayed in contact to ensure everything was ok. All in all I can't wait to return.

Firstly, the views are every bit as good as the picture makes you hope!

Secondly, the owner, Margaret, is a delightful host; she greeted us off the boat, ushered us to our secure underground parking space and made sure we were completely happy before leaving us to our own devices.

Thirdly, yes there is carrot cake. And yes, it is awesomely tasty.

We found the apartment to be everything as advertised - and more!

The apartment was very comfortable, attractive and spotlessly clean. We have booked many holiday flats over the years and I would say this is one of the very best.

We loved the balcony where we sat watching people enjoying the beach and walking their dogs. We liked the big telly in the evenings!

For those (like us) without a car we would recommend purchasing a travel/heritage card from Tourist Information which gives access to all forms of transport as well as all the important sites and museums.

We hope to book the apartment again in the next year or two.

The Location of this luxury one bed-roomed apartment is amazing - just across the road from the beach with its own private parking.

The welcome pack provided (milk, butter, bread, eggs, coffee, tea, cake etc etc) goes above and beyond what is normally expected.

Margaret, the owner, was more than helpful in providing places to see/eat. I can't recommend this accommodation enough.

Lovely views across Douglas Bay. Nice and quiet at night which was surprising as main road.

A good location on the seafront with easy access to public transport all over the island. If the weather is inclement there is a convenient local shop for basic supplies.

The apartment is in a superb location, right on the sea front overlooking Douglas Bay.

Margaret, our host, provided everything we could possibly need for our stay including a welcome pack of bread, butter, milk, mineral water, tea, coffee and sugar and a beautiful home made carrot cake which was delicious.

The apartment is equipped to a very high standard and very secure and comfortable. There is a safe underground car park with lift access which we found invaluable as we both have walking difficulties and the apartment was right next to the lift.

The view from the balcony was a delight and Margaret made our holiday extra special. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The apartment was just what we expected, clean and well cared for, it had everything we needed, well located for town, other local amenities and transport links.

We couldn't find fault with anything. Some may like a dish washer but that didn't bother us.

The apartment is so much more than clean and comfortable (my principle criteria).

Everything you could need for a self catering break, including a welcome grocery pack, plus cake. Private car parking an added bonus, and railway, horse trams, several good restaurants/pubs within easy walking distance.

We can't fault it, and had a great holiday.

Very pleasant flat, high standard of fixtures and fittings, with a lovely little sea view balcony over looking the sea front. Bus stop opposite, short walk to electric railway.

Very helpful owner, who communicated quickly and left us a some lovely Manx milk, butter, bread, eggs etc and a cake in the kitchen. Warm, quiet and comfortable.
